Kitchens for people with disabilities

To design a kitchen for people with disabilities means following the same process as with any other type of kitchen, there is just one key point we as designers have to follow in all instances and that is 'listen to the customer'. You tell me what problems you need to overcome and I will give you the solutions. Once we have the solutions it is then a case of getting down to the most pleasurable part of having a new kitchen - deciding on a look that excites you, something that you know will create an environment that you will enjoy spending time in.

Some of the kitchen styles that are available are hand painted, solid timber and easy clean foil finishes.

I have 17 years experience in designing and making kitchens that satisfy peoples needs. I am a good listener and take on board what you, the customer, tell me. I realise that this is key to any successful design. There are many innovative ideas available now that make kitchens a pleasant and practical environment for people with all types of disabilities. These include adjustable height work tops and wall units, both of which can be moved to the required height electrically requiring no physical input from you, ovens with side opening doors and pull out work surfaces below, pull out shelves and baskets and many more innovative ideas.
